Solid question, especially in 2025 as there are now about 650 licensed cannabis dispensaries in the state. So yeah, while it’s a little overwhelming, I narrowed my picks down to four standout 4/20 events — each offering its own unique flavor and vibe — across the North Shore, Central Mass, Greater Boston, and the South Coast.
Let’s take it from above. Literally.
North Shore: Lazy River’s 420 Riverfest | Dracut, MA
Hosted on Saturday, April 19 from 3–6 PM, this is the second year of Riverfest — and each year gets a little more dialed in. Lazy River is a beautiful building with amazing artwork. Inside it’s a vertically integrated powerhouse: cultivation, production, and retail under one roof. Having started myself in the industry at a small Mom and Pop style business like this, I’m really passionate about what they have accomplished in-house!
Lazy River itself features a legit array of unique flower strains, amazingly cool edibles such as the Pancake flavored gummies, and some awesome vapes as well. At Riverfest you will be able to shop all of their retail deals all while enjoying the many vendor pop ups and cool activities provided. Some of the Riverfest attractions include:
• Vendors: Lazy River, Theory Wellness, PAX + friends
• Eats & Drinks: Barewolf Brewing (cash only) + Wicked Tasty Food Truck
• Activities: Creations by Sopa, caricatures by Sophia Asbury, and The Bike Collector
• Address: 149 Broadway Rd, Dracut, MA
• When: Saturday, April 19, 3–6 PM
If you're cruising up 93, 495, or Route 110 — stop in, grab some local in-house product and get a cool picture of yourself enjoying it all.
Central Mass: Bifanas & Bud at Native Sun | Hudson, MA
Moving down the Map to Central Mass, we find ourselves right in the heart of Massachusetts at Native Sun Dispensary in Hudson, MA. In the mood for some Portuguese cuisine? This is the event for you! TGIF is the theme on Friday April 18, 2025 from 2 – 7 Pm. Featuring the Figs Food Food truck, Native Sun offers what they like to call Bifanas and Bud. Never had a bifana? Picture thin-sliced pork, marinated in white wine, garlic, and paprika, served up on a crusty roll with mustard and piri-piri sauce.
Yes, it’s as good as it sounds.
Native Sun has become a serious player in the Massachusetts industry — with stores in Hudson, North Attleboro, and Fall River — they really know how to curate a proper menu. So head out early on Friday and stock up for 4/20 weekend with some awesome deals on what I consider one of the most robust and best cannabis menus in the entire state.
Here’s what’s in store:
• Vendors: Native Sun + all their brand partners
• Food: Figs Food Truck’s famous bifanas
• Vibe: Laid-back Friday energy with a killer staff
• Address: 37 Coolidge St, Hudson, MA
• When: Friday, April 18, 2–7 PM
Greater Boston: Glass & Grass at The Green Lady | Newton, MA
If you find yourself around the Greater Boston area and you want some 4/20 fun, look no further than The Green Lady in Newton, MA. From 11 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, 4/19, they’re throwing a blowout bash with pop-ups and free giveaways (3-6pm) from major brands - Nostalgia, Harbor House, and ROVE.
The coolest part? Eric Duyette’s live glass-blowing booth from noon to 6 PM to demonstrate how the elevated mind creates such beautiful glass in real time. Come for the amazing deals and stay for the fire (literally).
Bonus: Every customer gets a custom Easter basket with fun giveaways.
• Vendors: Harbor House, Nostalgia, ROVE
• Eats: Newton Centre’s restaurant row (seriously, endless options)
• Extras: Freebies, glass demos, deals galore
• Address: 740 Beacon Street, Newton, MA
• When: Saturday, April 19, 11 AM–6 PM
South Coast: Zahara’s Smoked Out 420 Fest | Attleboro, MA
Last but not least, let’s move to the wonderful Southcoast. Until The Agriculturalist becomes THE PLACE TO BE on 4/20 (see it even rhymes!), you’ll want to check out the Smoked Out 4/20 Event at Zahara Cannabis in Attleboro.
Having helped open Zahara myself and been a part of the first events, I can personally say this place knows how to throw a proper party. This is their third annual Smoked Out 420 Fest, and they live by the motto “bigger, better and bolder” so they’ll bring the party to shopping with “Good Vibes & Killer Deals” My advice? Shop first, party later as these deals go fast. Once you have secured your 4/20 bag, go out and enjoy the massive variety of local vendor Pop Ups, activities, live music, drinks and food. Oh — and don’t forget, Nova Farms is right next door. Double the shops. Double the deals.
• Vendors: 8–10 local brands with giveaways
• Food & Drink: Live pig roast by B&M Catering + craft cocktails by Primo Bartending
• Music & Fun: BuddhaFly, Fil Pacino, live board games
• Address: 70 Frank Mossberg Dr, Attleboro, MA
• When: Saturday, April 19, 12–6 PM
Hope this helps with your 4/20 Planning. Have a wonderful holiday weekend, and Toke Up for us all at The Agriculturalist.
See you next year at The Agriculturalist in Fall River!
