The Best Spots to Celebrate the 4th in Fall River
Your 3-stop guide to fireworks, food trucks, and feeling local.
If you're spending July 4th in Fall River and not planning to be near the waterfront… you're doing it all wrong. Fireworks over the Taunton river are the stuff of which memories are made.
This city doesn’t just celebrate — it shows up. Loud music. Epic food trucks (Some of the best in Southern Mass). Free parking (yes, really and shuttles too). And it all ends with a fireworks display that turns the River into a light show.
Whether you're in it for the vibes, the eats, or the show, here’s how to make the most of the night:
1. Heritage State Park | 5PM–9PM
This one’s got the most eclectic mix:
DJ Eric Jussaume spinning all evening, airbrush tattoos from Kool Kats Airbrush (yes, that’s still a thing and yes, you want one), and a fleet of food trucks that reads like a bucket list:
Friskie Fries, Blount, Fancheezical, Turner Brothers, Supa Dupa, Black Dog Donuts, and Cool Licks Ice Cream.
Pro tip: Hit this stop early before the lines get wild.
2. Veterans Memorial Bicentennial Park | 5PM–9PM
Looking for live music and laying back on your lawn chair hanging out with friends? This is your zone. The Khoury’s take the stage at 7PM, and the food lineup hits a nostalgic sweet spot with Dorothy Cox, County Fare Hot Dogs, Brownell’s Bakery, and Gnarly Vines.
Ideal for chill sunset snacks and hanging out with friends.
3. Senator Thomas Norton City Pier | 5PM–9PM
This one brings got energy.
Live music by Get Lucky Band kicks off at 6:15PM, and if you’re thirsty — this is the place. Troy City Beer Garden and Party With Primo Wine are both pouring, and they’re backed by serious flavor: Pop’s Brick Oven Pizza, Bun Buds, BBQ Y Mas, Berry Sweets, Del’s Lemonade, Hot Potato, and Chicked Out Nuggz.
Your night here will hit a high note!
Fireworks go off at 9:00PM!
Bring a blanket, grab a spot and eyes to the sky over the Taunton River.
Parking: Free parking is available at Pearl Street Garage, Executive Plaza, the Narrows Lot, and J. Karam Management. Shuttle service runs from Pearl and Karam lots, so you’re covered.
And if you're feeling good the next morning (or just want to feel like a good citizen), join the waterfront cleanup at 8AM on July 5. Tools and supplies provided — just meet at the Heritage Park Visitors Center.
